Menu labeling laws are popping up across the country. And if the health care reform bill passes, restaurants with at least 20 locations throughout the country will have to post calories on menus;
Would this affect the way you ordered food? I think it would for me. Not knowing sometimes is the biggest enemy in leading a healthy and fit life.

I don’t agree with all of these songs in terms of my own playlist but I do agree that good music can get you going or keep you going! Have you ever been on a treadmill and just completely ready to quit and a song comes on with a good beat – like “Single Ladies” by Beyonce or something like that? And all of the sudden you get your second wind? A good playlist is a great tool to use when working out.

I had a potluck at work yesterday, and have 2 potlucks today. I have to prepare myself mentally so I don’t over do it. I think if you prepare yourself before heading out to the holiday parties, you are less likely to go WAY overboard.
You should enjoy yourself no doubt, and indulge a little. Who wants to be at a party with homemade cakes and cookies and not have some? That is crazy talk!
So I found this article above which I think gives some good tips for anyone heading to a bunch of over indulgent parties this season.

Looks like the DC area is going to get some major snow this weekend! I love snow and how it can remind us that we are not bigger than Mother Nature.
The only thing I do not like is that it may put a damper in my heading to the gym plans…
