A shout out to my trainer

This is my trainer Michael Thrash (MT). He drives me crazy sometimes and pushes me too hard sometimes. I am sure if you ask him, he would say he pushes me just right. Without him – I wouldn’t be where I am today.
We are so different personality wise but somehow we click. He has supported me throughout this fitness journey and believed in me. When I started, I remember feeling so defeated and I told him that I was uncoordinated and didn’t think I would be able to do some of the stuff he wanted me to do. He didn’t listen which irked me to no end and without any change in her tone, just kept showing me how to do it. At the time, I was annoyed but now I realize that’s exactly what I needed. Someone who didn’t believe or see what I was seeing – which was a completely out of control, nonathletic, unhappy person who was ready to commit to something else. I had no idea at the time what that something else was – you can bet that I know what that is now.
So, for the holidays I want to acknowledge what a difference MT has made in my life and together we have changed me. It took a lot of work on my part, but it took our partnership. That is why MT does this and I know he knows what a difference he has made to me and so many others – Men and Women. I know his heart is always in the right place and when he pushes, it’s coming from good intentions.

I am not brainwashed, I’m conditioned…
0So from the moment I got up, I have in my mind – how will I be active today? I am not sure my gym is open so I will definitely go and shovel even though my shoulders, arms and back are already sore but I am really wanting to go to the gym to run. Yes, folks I said WANTING to go do my workout. I am so conditioned to workout, I don’t like the way I feel if I don’t do my workouts. Do you think it’s brainwashing?
I will let you know what I ended up doing – I am hoping and praying that the gym is open later so I can work off some of the non Keep It Clean eating I have done this weekend.
