0Workout and Fitness Tips: The 1 thing that keeps you from peaking in your workouts.
I grapple with this very thing with every workout. My mind wants to quit even though my body can continue. Someone once told me I should seek help from a sports psychologist to learn to push through. I don’t know about that but, when my mind makes itself up, I stop and I often wonder how do we learn to push through?. There are so many times during each day’s workout where I am like ” No way, I can’t do anymore” and I stop. I do resume but ideally I would like to push through the entire round without stopping. There are times when I do, and internally, I get excited by that. But many more times, I do stop and I am so thankful that I have MT and some of the other campers around me that notice and bring me out of that state of mind. I hear alot of don’t stop Stephy, or you can do it…
MT told me last week, that as far as I have come, he knows I am not at my full potential yet. That excites and scares me at the same time. I have come this far and feel so empowered, can you even imagine that’s not my full potential? So many new facets of me are being created and/or recognized – I had no idea that was in me. How cool is that?

1 min jump ropes, 1 min turkish get ups (TGUs) – 1 round to warm up because we were running late again!
Core work: crunches, rocking tiers, and then did 6in flutters – 2 rounds
25 bottom up push ups <– I did 30.
Workout was 3 rounds AMrepsAP within 1 min timeframe
power clean squats 65lbs
overhead back lunges/push presses with 45lb sandbag (rest/active)
dip exchange with 25lb kettelbells/pushups
assisted rope climb
tabatas
It was 19 degrees this morning which always makes it that much harder to get going. But I was excited to get Monday going and see the Plumbline Ladies after the weekend. Again, someone asked me how do I consistently get up so early in the morning. Aside from the commitment factor, I have a great time hanging out with the group. It’s fun to catch up and just cheer one another on. When I miss a session – which is not often – I find I miss the dynamic. And for the ladies that missed out on camp this morning, the ones I know – got an email from me asking where they were. We hold each other accountable!!
