I like to read about marketing efforts that really speak to the younger generation and utilize new social media. It’s a real lesson in today’s world. They market to the under 30 female set and it’s interesting how this article talks about how different rules apply to this younger set. It’s a new world folks!
Heidi Montag: Addicted to Plastic Surgery – Bodywatch, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt : People.com.
This story seems so sad. Here is a girl that once she gets in the public eye it seemingly brings out every insecurity she has ever had. And at 23 years old she undergoes a 2nd more radical plastic surgery experience and now feels she looks like the perfect she had in her head. How sad. I don’t care for tabloid fame seekers who add little benefit to overall society, but what she has done is the perfect example of what is going on in society today. Young women feeling like they must measure up to some ideal that has been created in a photoshop application. And then what’s worse, the media gives her more publicity which was what put her in the place that she felt less than perfect. And she also mentions how she didn’t even tell her family she was having it done. To me, she seems like a lost little girl.

Controversial Weight Loss Surgery Center for Teens Opens – ParentDish.
wow, I don’t think this is a good idea at all. Teens aren’t even done growing and becoming the adults they are destined to be. Believe me, I know how cruel kids can be to one another. I lived through it in my own school years, but man oh man, having them get surgery when their bodies are still developing is not a good idea. Don’t mess with Mother Nature is a common phrase for a reason.
Salba: Healthy for the Whole Family – ParentDish.
I have been hearing about Salba around the blogosphere lately but didn’t really know what it was. Apparently it is : To date, salba seeds are the richest whole food source of fibre and omega-3 fatty acids than any other natural food source on this planet. I am going to give them a try. How about you?

Gold’s Workout
0Today’s Gold’s Gym Workout
I felt a little bit out of whack this morning and it started off when I forgot my Heart Rate Monitor. I hate when I workout without it. It really does help me gauge my intensity. But I didn’t want to turn around and get it, so i went ahead anyway. Mentally it was a tough beginning for me. Not all workouts are going to be easy.

I was thinking about those of you that have recently embarked on your fitness commitment. It’s now mid January, and you may be waning in your commitment. Some of you you haven’t seen the results that you expected – yet. Please keep it at. Lasting changes happen over time and by continually working at it. Don’t get discouraged, because even if you don’t see changes on the scale, I guarantee you are benefiting your body in so many ways. Earlier this week, I posted a picture of 5lbs of fat vs 5lbs of muscle. They really do look different, so know that you may not see huge changes on the scale, but you are changing! And that’s what its all about. The number on the scale is just a number! Easier to say than it is to truly believe, trust me I know but true, nonetheless!!
And if you find yourself bored already, try something else to switch it up. If you have spent a lot of time on the treadmill, try the stairmill or the elliptical. Look on the internet for new ideas to get cardio in, or even find a weight program suggestion. Switch it up!
